Sibling Love

These two, are just adorable. They love each other. Big brother was trying to make his little sister smile and laugh for us, and little sister was focused on her big brother. She was one serious little girl during this shoot; even though she is full of smiles :)

Science March Los Angeles

I'm a social worker. I know it is not the "typical scientist" that you think of. But, we use science in our practice. See, as social workers, we use what is called "evidenced based practices." This means, we use treatment that has been proven to work through research. Research = Science. The past few months, there has been a lot being put forward that challenges our work. There is research that proves certain things, but unfortunately, people tend to choose not to believe it because it does not fit what they want to believe. This, is why today, I joined the #MarchForScience.

This isn't even 1/2 of my photos, but hey. I do want to thank the #Scientist who created the computer, the internet, my Nikon DSLR and lense... If it wasn't for all the scientists out there. I wouldn't be able to put this photo blog up. #MillieGracePhotography

Sloppy Joe wanted Christmas Photos with his humans

Isn't Sloppy Joe the cutest ever?

Anyways, he wanted to take Christmas photos with his humans over Thanksgiving weekend. We hung out in LA for a while until he got bored with being photographed.
I have to admit, his humans were pretty awesome as well :)

& Yes, Sloppy Joe is the center of his human's world <3

Re-Focus

#2017YearOfPurpose

That is my theme for the year. Kinda. I try to make sure that everything (again, I try) to do has a purpose to it. My profession as a #SocialWorker, my family and friends and my photography. But, my photography has just been whenever. I haven't truly focused on it at all. So, today, I decided I need to. I've loved photography since before I got my first #Nikon. And film. I loved it. I also loved going into the dark room at school and processing my own film. But then college and digital took over my life. I got my BA/BS and then I got my MSW. & #SocialWork took over my life. I don't regret it one moment. I love my profession. I truly value my profession. But, I am also a photographer and have been neglecting that aspect of myself for nearly 10 years. So, my goal is to focus on it again :)

Today, on my way home from Samy's Camera, I drove through Palos Verdes, CA and took some of these shots. Hope you enjoy :)

Happy Birthday!

Quick question, how do kids grow up so fast?

A day at the park :)

A couple of weekends ago, I was able to photograph a friend and her kiddo. It was a gorgeous day and we had a blast at the park for a bit!

There is nothing like a mothers love <3
